すっかり宣伝し忘れていましたが今年の１月２６日にクロノ・トリガーのJazzアルバムがスクエニより発売されます。もともとJazzテイスト満載で書かれていた曲なのでJazzとの相性は抜群です。正直、オーケストラサウンドとクロノってあまり合わないので、一番最初のアレンジアルバム「Brink of Time」でもJazzアレンジをしました。スーパーファミコンの音源なのにテンションノートが山ほど入っているクロノトリガーの楽曲は当時のゲームからしたら珍しく聞こえたのではないかと思います。
I completely forgot to advertise this, but on January 26th of this year, a Jazz album for Chrono Trigger will be released by Square Enix. The song was originally written with a lot of Jazz flavor, so it goes well with Jazz. To be honest, orchestral sounds and Chrono don’t really go well together, so I did a Jazz arrangement for my first arrangement album “Brink of Time”. I think that Chrono Trigger’s music, which has a lot of tension notes even though it is a Super Nintendo sound source, must have sounded unusual for the game at the time.
